Below are the resources for the HEAT topic that you’ll cover in S1 Physics. You might not be given all of the information by your teacher, but you can always use the additional materials to read around the subject, that’s what makes a successful learner, confident individual and responsible citizen.

Old Heat Notes These are old heat notes, from which the new resources were taken. They can be used to back-up your learning.
1.a SHOW FIRST S1 introduction (heat) If you’ve already done the ELECTRICITY topic this will be familiar for you. You can remind yourself about what the subject of physics is, in this document.
Homework HEAT (homework) This gives the heat homework as a list and with your teacher you can add the dates which the homework is due.
Logic problems (homework) this document will give you advice on how to answer the logic problem which will be one of your homework pieces.
Heat Logic Problem (homework). This is a homework piece for you to tackle. Some of you might be given something a little simpler. It is good brain training food.
Heat Transfer wordsearch (homework). This might be given to you as an alternative to the Logic Problem.
Here are some ideas for investigations, but it would be much better if you devised your own experiments.

Here are a set of revision cards for you to cut up and arrange in the right order. If you cut out the headings and first column as one piece it will save you lots of time and will be neater then cut the rest out as single boxes and match them with the correct row.
